Hearing screening beyond ideal conditions – PATH MEDICAL in Salzburg.

What happens when you perform a hearing screening in an environment with more than 80 dB of ambient noise?

At the Austrian ENT Congress in Salzburg, we had the opportunity to meet ENT and audiology professionals, exchange experiences and demonstrate QSCREEN and SENTIERO in a very real-world setting.

And sometimes, a busy congress hall provides the perfect test environment.

QSCREEN – Put to the test

Austrian ENT Congress 2026

With ambient noise levels exceeding 80 dB, the exhibition floor was anything but a quiet screening environment. Nevertheless, QSCREEN allowed us to perform measurements directly at the booth – providing a practical demonstration of how important robust technology can be when testing conditions are less than ideal.

This is particularly relevant for Newborn Hearing Screening (NHS), where efficient and reliable measurements need to fit into everyday clinical workflows.

QSCREEN is already gaining visibility in Austrian maternity facilities, underlining the continued importance of newborn hearing screening and practical screening solutions in the region.

Designed for real-world hearing care

For us, events like the Austrian ENT Congress are not only about presenting products. They provide an opportunity to listen to users, understand changing clinical requirements and see how hearing care is evolving.

From Newborn Hearing Screening and OAE to audiometry and integrated diagnostic workflows, these insights continue to shape how we develop solutions for hearing care professionals.
