Pure-tone hearing screening using an automated Hughson-Westlake procedure and a patient response button.
A pure-tone screening audiometer that goes wherever the testing needs to happen.
nanoAudio is a compact, USB-powered audiometer built for occupational health teams, schools and mobile screening programs. It runs the Hughson-Westlake procedure automatically across 125 Hz to 8000 Hz, connects to a laptop in seconds, and exports results straight into NOAH, as GDT, or as a standalone PDF.
Occupational health checks, school screening days, and workplace hearing conversation programs share the same constraint: the test has to come to the person, not the other way around. nanoAudio is powered entirely through a single USB connection, so there’s no separate charger or battery to track between sites.
Once connected, testing follows the Hughson-Westlake procedure automatically, stepping through pure tones from 125 Hz up to 8000Hz in 5 dB increments with a USB patient response button doing the confirming. An operator sets up the protocol once and the device handles the repetitive part of the test consistently, patient after patient.
Result’s don’t get stuck on a single machine. Every test exports to NOAH, as a GDT file, or as a standalone PDF report, so a school nurse or occupational health provider can hand a result straight to whatever record-keeping system their organization already runs.
The Hughson-Westlake procedure is the accepted standard for automated threshold-seeking, and nanoAudio runs it end to end-presenting tones in 5 dB steps and reading the patient’s response button until a threshold is established. That consistency matters most in high-volume settings, where the same test needs to mean the same thing for the tenth patient as it did for the first.
nanoAudio works with either a circumaural DD65v2 or supra-aural DD45 headset, so a program can match the transducer to its testing environment without changing anything else about the setup. Test data flows out the same way regardless- into NOAH, as GDT, or as a ready-to-file PDF report.
